HELLO KORYNN NEWVILLE, WELCOME TO DOGOPPO. WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO BECOME A DOG PARENT?
I love experiencing the growth of a puppy and having a friend! I wanted companionship and to learn with my dog.
CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT YOUR DOG AND HIS/HER PERSONALITY?
Tito, is a snuggle monster! We also call her the lifeguard, because she is always standing and watching you. She is the best pal a girl could ask for. She is the best older sister, so graceful and gentle. Soda is only a puppy and it’s been so fun to see her grow. She is goofy, silly, clumsy and free spirit. She loves her older sister! When they are together, they do such silly things.
HOW DID YOU CHOOSE YOUR DOG’S NAME?
Tito’s name was picked out long before Tito became our dog. We just thought it was cute! Then once we figured out, we should get another dog, the name had to be Soda.
WHAT’S THE MOST MISCHIEVOUS THING YOUR DOG HAS EVER DONE?
Tito, honestly, she’s so good I don’t think there is one. She once ate our French fries in the car when we left them, but who wouldn’t do that? Soda… she has chewed the couch, shoes, etc… Soda is a dog dog, and we think Tito is a food critic stuck in a dog body.
WHAT’S YOUR DOG’S FAVORITE TREAT?
Hot dogs! Soda is an eating machine, so she loves everything… while Tito spits out turkey and cheese.
CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT A SPECIAL MOMENT YOU’VE SHARED WITH YOUR DOG?
Oh geez, so many. I love them so much! If I had to pick, we brought them to Oregon and let them run on the ocean beach. Wow, they were so happy, and it was such a good time.
WHAT’S YOUR DOG’S FAVORITE TOY? WHAT’S THE MOST CHALLENGING THING ABOUT BEING A DOG PARENT?
They both love smaller toys with squeakers, things to play tug of war against each other, and Tito loves a tennis ball while Soda loves chasing Tito when she has the tennis ball.
HOW DO YOU KEEP YOUR DOG HEALTHY AND HAPPY?
I try to challenge them with puzzles and take them to as many experiences as possible. We go biking, walking and hiking together! I try to get them to socialize with other dogs as much as possible! I do what I can to keep their food healthy.
HOW HAS YOUR LIFE CHANGED SINCE BECOMING A DOG PARENT?
They are my partners in crime, they have just made life so much more fun.
WHAT’S THE BEST ADVICE YOU WOULD GIVE TO SOMEONE WHO’S CONSIDERING BECOMING A DOG PARENT?
Have the time! If you don’t have all the time, that is ok, but be prepared to pay for doggy daycare, walkers during the day, etc.
